Blog Out Loud is an open-mike night for bloggers in Ottawa. Held annually, it features 21 local bloggers reading aloud their favourite post of the past year, while photo bloggers display their art in a slide show. It’s a social evening, an event where bloggers connect with old friends and finally get to meet writers they’ve been admiring online.
For BOLO, we did a full website design from the ground up using WordPress. We handled all aspects of the WordPress install and customization, selected and customized the theme, and chose appropriate plugins to help manage the site.
We wrote all the text and designed all the graphics on the BOLO site. Photos in the slide show taken by our designer Lynn Jatania, other photos are credit to Sara McConnell Photography, who graciously took pictures of the 2011 event.
We also designed a matching twitter background for the BOLO twitter account.
