Design Process

Interested in going ahead with a new website design? Great!

Here’s what happens next.

First, contact me with your project idea so I can give you a good idea of how long the project will take, and exactly how much it will cost. See the package list for a general idea of the kind of work that is available. As part of this process, I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire to help pinpoint your design goals.

Once we have agreed on the project’s parameters and pricing, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the work. Small design jobs must be pre-paid up front. If it is a large project, half will be due as I begin work, and half will be due upon delivery. I prefer to have a URL available to work on, but if one is not available I will develop the site in house and upload it when complete.

Once payment is received, I will begin work. I’ll be in almost constant contact with proposals, layout ideas, and versions for your feedback. All of my quotes include at least two major revisions, but I won’t be happy unless you’re happy.

When the site is finished, we can transfer responsibility of the site. You can choose to: take immediate full responsibility; purchase a maintenance plan from me in which I will continue to maintain and update the site as required; or take a small training session from me in which I will train you or a member of your staff on how to maintain the site.

I value my customer relationships and you won’t be left to fend for yourself! Any time you need me to answer questions, put out fires, or step in to keep things running smoothly, I’ll be there.
